Anything But Three

Thanks to movies like "Sprout" and guys like Alex Knost, Tyler Warren, and Chris Christenson, there's a growing movement of blending the best of the old and new.  Open your mind and approach surfing in a whole new way, on boards that work!  ~BR

Board Meeting

The chances for warm, sunny days are dwindling, so when we get two absolutely GORGEOUS days in a row, there's only one thing to do - work outside!  Any excuse to be in the sunshine results in very clean surfboards.  It's always fun to take down the old classic boards from the ceiling, polish 'em up and hear the stories of their origins and to be able to do it on a 75 degree day in late October is even better! ~BPM

I can't tell you how many dings I have fixed with this brush.  In 11 years, I'm sure it's in the thousands. I bought a new one the other day (.39 cents) but I just can't let the old one go..... ~BR

Presents from the Past

On the left is a red wood Alaia, could be 50 years old, could be 100 years old.  On the right is a modern day Alaia shaped out of Palownia wood by our good friend Rob Tinus.  This is where the present meets the past, and in the end its all about the riding of the waves.

Kookie Monsters!

Heres another board from the Joel Tudors new line, Kook Box, It is the Diamond tail twin. Interesting board with a lot of volume and the classic outline of a retro fish with a twist in the tail.  Joel takes the fish and puts a diamond tail on it.  Standing at 6' tall and nearly 22" wide and 3" thick, heres another great small wave board.  Knee to chest high with plenty of float for all times of the year! Check one of these out!

Chris Christenson C-Unit

Once again Chris takes the best of the old and puts his spin on it.  Think "Morning of the Earth" or Greenough in the 70's.  Call it S-Foil, Displacement Hull or whatever. Just like all of Chris' boards, short or long, you just want to ride every one.  Slide in a rakey Flex Foil fin and enjoy.... BR

Its all about picking your nose!

The nose of a board is an essential part to the riding of a wave.  Many people are concerned with the shape of the tail, but you must pass the nose before you can get to the tail.  Whether is be pointed, full, v-bottomed, flat, rockered, ect. it can determine the outcome of a wave.  Pick your nose with caution!

Koastal long boards are redefining the art of the modern longboard.  With there wood inlays and Revenge trucks they are truly among the elite out there.   No two boards are exactly alike, plus they add a layer of fiberglass on the bottom for extra strength.  Check these boards out, you will not be disappointed!
